If you’re looking to breeze through the bulk of Diablo 4‘s recent update as quickly as possible, they’re your best option. Though they’ve always been powerful levelers, changes to both the Necromancer class and competing leveling classes have made them that much better at this specific area of the game. Necromancers are arguably the best leveling class at the start of Diablo 4: Season 1. However, many fans are still looking to still get the most out of the new content and experience as much of it as quickly as possible. The much-anticipated wave of new content is burdened with questionable new features that have slowed down the pace of the game and weakened already weak classes. That’s also the class fantasy I always envision with these builds, what’s the point of having an army if you have to do everything yourself.Diablo 4‘s Season 1 update is… not great. Remember that cutscene with Lillith and how her army overran Pravas holy army, and Lillith not only didn’t fight them, she didn’t even bother to watch because she could just assume they would do everything for her, and then when the weak boss attacked her that’s the only time she lift a finger and busted out some personal attacks, yeah that’s the playstyle I want. What I actually want however is nothing resembling this and if they keep it this way I’ll be super annoyed forever basically and I do fear that might happen the more people push out these “my minion build is doing fine” posts that are hybrid builds at best. I’m also particularly worried that even if I push NM with some build like shadowblight with heavy investment into minions via paragon etc, that they will think players are happy because they are pushing, when in truth I’m only doing this mixed setup because I’m absolutely forced into it and I hate the playstyle frankly, it’s just the only way I can use minions at all.
